can someone tell me what gear would help my truck with gas milage? I have a 99 Sierra that has 6" suspension and 3" body lift with 37" Pro Comp Tires and has stock 3.73 gears. So what gear would be good to help me get better gas milage?

I have 4.56 with 35s and it's better then stock when I had 3.73s. For your 37s will be just like stock, for more power, go with 4.88.

I meant torque. The less the engine and transmission has to work, the better gas mileage you will get. Im not sure if 4.88 is Highway friendly. Might have to check in to that. I know 4.56 is, mine is ok on the highway.

o well i will prolly go with 4.56s and nice truck by the way. I have been thinkin of gettin rid of mine cuz of the gas but if i can get around 15 to 16 ill be a lot happier cuz i really hate to get rid of it esp. bein my first truck

Thanks, I get about the same gas mileage I got before. I don't drive my truck hard either. All my cars look new, even 10 years later.
