i have read and read and searched all over but what i really want to know is if i put a summit k1102 cam in a 87 305 tbi will it improve or make the fuel milage worse, and i know every one is going to say it needs a tune, but how will it run with out one with just tuning with fuel pressure and the o2 at wot. and not to sound like a prick but i would like to hear from people that have actually done it and not what my brothers cousions friend did. and what about advancing the cam timing? thanks.......

also not to through every thing off what about a xe249 from comp......proably a better cam but i can get the k1102 and everything to put it in for the cost of just the cam and lifters.

i currently have the k1102 cam in my 89. Runs great and i didn't really notice any drop in mileage. I also had a custom tune from Brian. The truck gets up and go. Still want more though!

i've got an 1102 in my 94 with a 350, and one in my 305 i use for a derby engine. the 94 is untuned, though i need to get it tuned. it doesnt run bad, just gets about 10 mpg, 14 on the highway.
