I'm building a 5.7 Vortec motor,9:1 compression,probably start with a Holley 650 and maybe change out to a modded TBI at a later date. It's going in a 82 K24 Camper Special 4x4. I'll be using the truck to occasionally pull a boat with a slide-in camper but mostly just a daily driver that's fun to drive. I'm considering a Comp x4260hr (.474/.474 lift 260/264 duration). I believe that the truck has 4.11 gearing.
Anybody have any experience with this cam or have any better suggestions? I would rather not have to machine the heads. Forgot to mention that it's a hydraulic roller motor. Thanks!
