I traded my old short block for a set of sportsman pro's size 26-10.50-15, tread is real good. Are these going to be too short for my truck and how bald can they get before they are no good?

They're a little short, but should look alright on a lowered truck. Those tires are notorious for terrible traction in the rain though. My dad wrecked his '63 stepside back in the day with those on. They were a little larger though. :D What are your plans for them?

Thought i would mount them on a set of wheels that fit my truck and run them at the track only. Change them out once there and swap the 20's back on before i leave. I'm running a 275-40 now, and they are 28" tall, but like i said just at the track.

There's lots of meat left on those. Looks good.

Agreed, or at least some slightly bigger tires. Those 26's are notorious for causing wheel hop problems on lowered trucks.

M&H racemasters or M/T et streets are most likely going to hook better than those tires also.

M&H=like 30 minutes from my house! Also the best off road tires made, all at discounted prices haha!

Wouldent these hook better that the 20's? What would it hurt to try, the 3.73's in my truck would act more like 4.88's right? Just dont want to shift out of third going through the traps.

Those tires have plenty of tread left on them. I had a set of 31x16.5 on my truck that I ran way to long. M/T states that you are supposed to run tubes with these tires but I opted not to. Looking back I prob should have since I ran till I had cord showing and you could push you finger through that spot after then were unmounted. Run them till the trend is gone you will love the grip you get out of them.
On a side note most tires are their stickiest at 1-2/32 tread left so once you get past that point you should change them.

Crazy how this thread came back yesterday, i just had those tires mounted on a set of oobs 15x8 rally wheels yesterday morning. Dismounts, mounts and tubes only cost me $28, not bad i thought. Using one of the many calculators you can find on the web, i found that with a 26" tire my 3.73s will seem more like a 4.09, not 4.56s like i thought earlier. I'm gonna give them a try, worst that could happen is i'll get slower.
