Must have some killer tires on it.:dunno:
I looked up some times and this TBI Suburban would eat you through the 1/8 mile.

If that is being directed toward me, I have the time slips and other supporting information to back the runs I have made.:thud:
FWIW, Density Altitude plays a HUGE part in track times as well. The tracks I run at are at around 500-600 ft elevation, but the density altitude is over 3,000 feet much of the time.

Please take that dodge and the van to the track, video the runs to go with the timeslips please. Not some video filmed at night or with the sun shining on the speedo.

HAHA, I really should take you up on that, but I currently have the van torn apart, performing a little more modification. Don't worry, it will be back stronger than ever soon and we will get a real video and track footage to go with the time slips.
Back to the original poster, any way we can know the track name, track location, date, and time that these runs were made on. That way we can see the Density Altitude and correct these times. They may not be as bad as the first glance shows.

I know you can google ANYTHING you want, but SOME are wise enough to cut through the BS and know what is real and matches said car. Like the guy that claimed to be trapping 112 MPH in a bone stock LS1/A4/2.73 Camaro, WRONG.

and i swapped out the 4.10 gears for 3.08, better highway mileage and i have so much torque the power difference negates itself

Ya know, that's a seriously good idea!!!!
:offtopic:
OP, like slow305 has stated very clearly, cut through the BS and realize that, at this point, your avy is an un-tuned heavy ass beast. Now, with a tune, headers, good exhaust, and some decent gears, you'd be in the mid-low 15's easily.
You'd cut that 60' down by like 2-3 tenths from the tune alone and with some 4.10's or 4.56's, whichever you prefer, you'll be looking at around a 2.2-2.3 second 60'. Either way, very nice times!

Yeah, I haven't really done much with the Avy, just GMPP intake and 3" flowmaster cat back. Also have 285 Nitto dune grapplers on it.
My OBS '99 Z71 Tahoe on the other hand I'm sure would take it no prob. I haven't run the Tahoe but its got:
Edelbrock TES headers w/ 2.5" Flowmaster exhaust w/ cats removed
Accel cap and rotor w/ 8mm Taylor wires
MSD-6A ignition box and MSD ignition coil
Volant CAI
Jet Performance hand held tune
And its only got 265's on it.

Wow, what a lame ricer statement. 2/10 of a second is getting "eaten"? TM was probably a major factor.
The one laughing at how slow stock internal 5.3s, in general are.
Has nothing to do with "stock internals" being weak. And to be honest that is a false statement to begin with anyhow.

Let me guess roll cage and tubbs?

Ill alert the news media.
Both vehicles ran on a 1/4 mi track, 1/8 mi time is a loser's arguement. If they wouldve been lined up, he wouldve DESTROYED the suburban by your standards.
Run dinosaur injection for 30 more years. Who cares? Stop picking on people.
99,
Looks like its time for a custom tune. LT's would help out a lot too.
