Well I thought I'd kinda introduce myself to this section. I just ordered a McGaughy's 2/4 drop for my 1999 OBS Tahoe. I've done some searching and it seems just about every thread is about lowering an OBS Tahoe/Yukon so I can tell its a little saturated with my kind lol.

Is there anything I should know, tips, tricks etc. when I go to install this? Also whats out there for air shocks for these trucks? I dont pull often but when I do its a 6,000lb+ flatbed trailer. Or will the belltech drop shocks be my best choice? Its not like there are a million threads on this already or anything

hey man, im about to do the same thing on my OBS 99 4dr tahoe. what kit did you order and from where?

Right now it has a 2 inch lift and the T bars are cranked. it was this way when I bought it.

I don't want to jack your thread, but im wondering if de cranking the bars and removing the rear blocks will at least drop it back to the stock z71 height?

Im not wanting to drop the truck to the ground or anything like that. I just want to lower it to the stock height of a 2wd tahoe.
