ok so i picked up some meguiers (sp) tech wax 2.0 or somethin like that. i just picked the most expensive kind. i have no clue if its good or not. but this will be my first coat of wax on my new paint job so i want it to be done right. i have seen people say dont go in circular motions with liquid wax and to go in straight lines. but would the same idea apply to paste wax? also is there anything else i need to do before i wax it other than wash it real good and dry it?ive seen people say use polish but i dont have any scratches on my paint yet so i dont see the point. and i dont think my paint has any contaminants in it yet because i was it every 2 days. thanks guys

How long ago did you have it painted? Before you wax it you should make sure its cured all the way.

Well you should give it a good wash, go around it twice and make sure to get the surface as a clean as you can. Claybaring it would not be a bad idea to get all the junk out of the clear, seeing as it gets out what your eyes dont see.
Swirl motion has worked the best for me, the wax seems to go on easier.
As far as polishing goes, i would wait a while because most polishes have abrasives in them and seeing as the paint is fairly new you could risk doing more harm than good.

ive always preferred to use turtlewax paste..apply it in swirls and buff it out with straight movements.. seems to get me plenty of compliments.

LOL no, dont use that, nor turtle wax. Nattys Blue Paste Wax, Migliore Primo, Chemical Guys Petes' 53 are all the ones I own and would recommend.
