View Full Version : CD player jammed, but no CD in it?

Stock headunit in an 03. Took a CD out when the truck was off like I have many times. Went to put in a CD later and it won't accept it and CHECK CD pops up.

I can force the CD in there if I want, but I'm sure that will eff it up even more. This ever happen to anyone else? Is it ok to force it in since it wont snatch it up on its own?

check your fuse under the hood.Just pull it out and put it back in.It will reset your head unit.Do you ever play burned cds in it?If so that is whats prob.wrong.My 2005 did it like 3 xs.

A lot of burned

It reset my radio, but it still won't accept the CD. Once you try to put it in, the TRACK screen comes up, but nothing happens. Then CHECK CD comes up. Getting pretty aggravating.

I just got my 04 about a month ago. It had a kenny chesney cd stuck in it when i got it and had to use a pocket knife to push down the plastic thing thats spring loaded... put in a different cd and it still wont eject, just sounds like its chewin on it.
