i need the pulley on the crank shaft the bolts are pushing the pulley right now
where can i get a new one i was told its a gm part only is that true

trie your local orilleys or autozone they might have one if not go to a junk yard what is it for any ways

I replaced the one on my dad's 97 a couple of years back it was doing the same thing as yours.

They do have them at Oreilly's that is where I bought mine. The problem is they have it listed as a harmonic balancer when it is really a pulley. I remember going through the same thing.
Powerbond # PB1194N is what you need I believe. $59.99 the GM unit is over $100.

it is a harmonic balancer, i had to change mine about 3 months ago, the rubber inner had separated from the outer steel ring. got mine from www.rockauto.com. be careful to order the correct one i'm sure there is an inner and an outer. mine was for a 6.2, but i think it is the same for a 6.5 - part number 337594-037 but check the pics to make sure!

i got mine from napa it was a easy fix not a bad until i wanted to put the belt back on and notice that the old owners broke the spot where you put the ratchet on the tencher to lift it up rrrrrrrrrrr
but its all done and thank you guys for the help
