Digital Climate Control in 2000 Silverado.

I did search, and didn't come up with my particular year. I was curious to know if anybodies put a digital climate control panel in a 2000 Silverado or close variable. My friend swears it's Plug and play, but that doesn't sound right to me. I would believe that no temp sensor would be one of several issues...Please enlighten me.

It's not plug and play, there is seperate controller that's needed

No, someone posts about this every day. And there is no digital climate control for any 99-02s.
There is an automatic temp version, but it doesn't have a digital display. Didn't happen until 2003 and it would be a major pain in the ass to covert over anyway.
