i found an 87 k5 blazer and the guy told me it was carbed but i thought 87 and up was tbi? anyone know for sure or was that year mixed carb and tbi?

it could've been swapped to carb

thats what i was thinkin but i didnt think to ask him. but in 87 they were tbi correct

yes they started the tbi switch over in late 86

Don't let the carb turn you away from the truck though. Carbs can be made to run just as well as a TBI, but without all of the electrical issues.

i think you could get an 87 carbed. im not sure though. i know thats when they started switching them over to tbi

i have had several carbs and idk i would have to say there good if you want to make some big power but out of the three tbi's i cant complain.

i have a 227k mile tbi with no problems at all
