The 84 pictured in my sig, is just where it is now, i bought it this week and it rolled on fine, but with no driveshafts and someone took the yoke off the back drive shaft, it looks like maybe the spline went back a bit and locked it up? both the front and back wheels will roll oposite dirrections but not at the same time?
I lifted truck and the tires will roll oposite of each other, but not in the same dirrection? what could have happened?

there is no drive line in there, no motor, tranny or transfer case and no yoke on back .....thanks

Put a yoke back on your dif so your pinion gear stops jamping into your carrier then it should roll again.

2x on it being an open diff or a locker. You need to remove the rear cover anyway to check for damage & clean out any metal shavings that may be in there now.

going to get the transfer case tranny and drive line stuff AND YOKE today. So ill take care of that, ASAP, and it would be a good time to fill the rear diff with some royal purple as well. Hope that is the issue! thanks,

When I put the rear yoke on the truck, it wont roll forward, it will roll backward, but not forward. I havent taken the rear diff cover off, my question is once I take the cover off, how do I move the pinion back to where it is supposed to go?

I put the yoke on with a large socket, should I have done it with an impact ? thank you all once again for your insight! Remy
