Umm...bought to sound really ignorant but whats spooling up lol?I know its involved on turbos and various turbos take different amount of times to "spool up" but thats about the extent of my knowledge. While were all here i wouldnt be opposed to an explanation of turbos either. Also my dad told me that a diesel has absolute 0 power without a turbo...can someone explain why that is?

Diesels have a ton of power without turbos.

Your dad is wrong.

However, like anything with a turbo, they make more power with one.

So i suppose they just put turbos on them to increase hp seeing as how a diesel has so much torque it barely notices the turbo thus helpin out tremendously?
