Need help choosing [Archive] - FSC

Ok, I have been searching and I cannot find the answer, so exactly what software and hardware do I need to tune a 1997 K2500 suburban 454? I checked out moates.com and efilive.com and there is way too many choices. What has everybody else had success with?

Tuner Cat or Jet DST will be your only options (TunerCat isn't available anymore, you would have to buy it used).

i have searched many tuners for my 97 3/4 ton pickup i could not find anything that would work for it 98 and 99 years i belive is when the tuning possibilites started. might be wrong but nothin other then like a chip or what not

The 97s have a flashable PCM.

Couldn't he do a 0411 PCM swap and use EFI-Live?

Yes he could do that, he would just need to repin the wires.
