I got new tires last week and they have a thick protective film like substance all over the sides. I washed the truck today but, it doesn't look like any of the stuff came off. Any tips for getting this off? It looks like a commercial protectant that BFG put on the tires from the factory.
Thanks,
Todd

My choice is Westleys bleach white

Protocol for removing that blue film over the letters and the sidewall is simply COLD water and a scrub brush. If you hit that stuff with warm water it somehow makes it tougher to get off. I'm sure using a mild soap or bleche white solution gets the job done too.

believe it or not a pressure washer takes it right off. If you dont have one just go to your local carwash. if you dont have one of those try one of the other methods. haha

i would be careful using bleach white if you have polished aluminum wheels.. it will ruin the finish... a simple brush and cold soapy water will do the trick...
