just alittle GIF i made with my helper bags lift/dump. 0psi - 100psi lift. wish i had shined up the wheels alittle before i took pics. my second set of pictures look shinier but not enough light.

a wanna be air setup ;)
i wanna buy some electric valves and larger lines to the helper bags just for kicks at stop lights.
eventually ill be bagging the truck but i got other bills that need more attention than my truck needs. :(

i just thought the 2 pics together was funny.
i have a single line ran into my truck now with the gauge and paddle valve to adjust the rear. it helps alot with big dips and curbs when i know my @ss will drag i just give em air and get a nice little lift so i dont drag my pipes or what ever it hits.

Nothing special. Stock and w/a 5/7, sadly, those are the only pics I took when it was lowered. I'm going to take some pics of the helpers like th OP this weekend.

addiction2bass... that's about as much lift as mine gets. How much PSI do you normally ride with?

addiction2bass
01-29-2010, 05:54 PM
well i was riding with 20psi but with my tools and junk in the bed ive been running 40psi daily.
but i have a gauge and paddle valve inside my truck now so i can adjust them on the fly. tho i have a tiny air leak somewhere on the bag lines, im hoping its on these plastic PTC adaptors on the gauge itself and not my other lines since i just replaced the PTC connections on the rest of the lines! but its probably a combination of the lines and the weaker air lines i got from lowes! i just havent had the money to go to the semi store and buy real strong air line! i only have about a foot of the good air line since i had to have them on my paddle valves since the cheap lines kept ripping on the barb fittings and spliting open.

would be nice if i could get helper bags on the front at times, ;)
i love the drop but at times.... WINTER road conditions suck pothole wise dodging all you can! and still hit afew bottoming out on the inner fenders :(

i love the 2door hoes droped! i always wanted a 96-98 2door hoe 2wheel drive with sport wheels BUT everyone locally was 4x4 and i didnt want a 4x4 so i settled with a ext cab. tho at times the truck is better for hauling stuff but a hoe would have so much more room for my stereo ;)

maybe one day ill get a 2door hoe but probably a 4x4 for winter after all. so i can keep my current truck low and for work when i need to.

Not enough room for a stereo in a tiny little hoe

well alot more room than a extended cab!

Yeah but you can't easily fit 5 people and 4 18s below the windows with a tahoe

addiction2bass
01-29-2010, 06:46 PM
true.lol but forget about the window line rules.
i used to care about staying in a lower class for comps but im not competing but once a year so as long as i can see out the rear ill be happy. ;) if i gotta im going to use some plexiglass on front and back of the box if needbe, but im hoping to not have to go much higher than the rear glass with my next setup, most likely two 15s FIaudio BTLs loaded. im pretty sure those will satisfy my need for more bass! i loved my old two 15inch REaudio SXs in my last truck and i AT LEAST want it that loud, 140db+

Lol thats sweet gif, always wanted to see somebodys lift and dump in action on OBS, sparing me a search of course. What kit you running?

addiction2bass
01-29-2010, 07:13 PM
i believe its AIRLIFT kit.... been a while since i installed it but i think its airlift. i bought it from summitracing.com

main reason i bought it for was my axle bottomed out on the frame notch ALOT!!!!!! and i hated that sound of course.LOL and since i do use my truck i like the ability to still tow so these where a no brainer must buy! tho i havent towed anything yet.... at least i can. ;)
i still gotta install my brake controller to use my dads trailers but for anything small it shoudnt need the electric brakes just yet.

and i have a small compressor kit as well which i bought used off ebay but works great. small and compact BUT works great but i would like a larger air tank eventually. right now it works my helper bags and semi airhorn upfront ;)

http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e250/addiction2bass/97%20C1500/helper%20bags/helperbags-01.jpg

i had to relocate the brackets forward as much as i could to clear the DJM top bracket since it was right on it!

o ya and my semi horn.... tho i want another ;) thought about the train horn BUT everyone and there mommas got those so wanna be alittle different with the semi air horns.... tho it sounds better with more PSI my max is 120psi with my little compressor and tank. ive had lots of fun with it so far!

would be bad ass if you could find which kit! i searched summit and jegs, and of course pics dont reflect your kit nor does search on part number.. i def need one untill i do my 4link coilover setup but i needa order right one.

yep that looks like the kit.
but if your not going to adjust the air pressure that much you dont need a air kit. one of those cheap@ss tire inflaters plugged into the cig lighter will work just fine. they say you can even use a bicycle pump ;)

i only paid 150bucks shipped for my used air kit.

i never had any air leaks till i started adding lines and crap.
id highly suggest you getting some good semi air lines if you add any line. the lowes air line is alright but not very strong.

I have a very similar kit and have it setup just like you have. I just used a bike pump to full my bags. The first time I completly aired it out I wanted it to continue until it layed frame. Now I've got the airbag bug. Its just a matter of time until it hits you.

cool cool, i think after more research ima run the http://www.summitracing.com/parts/AIR-59106BT/ kit and work with fitment sense im at 10inch rear.. And i pieced all the fittings together to run with my existing air setup, tanks, and switches. we'll see how works out
