Depending on if you have a remote tape deck or CD these are from two threads on here others have ordered with success.

I have the remote tape deck in my '02 Silvy and am looking at this route also.

I thought of doing this to with my 2000 too. But check out the costs.Price(59.99) plus shipping. And this possible cost. (c/p from ebay ad) IF YOU CANT GET THIS MODULE TO WORK YOU CAN GO TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR YOUR CAR AND THAY CAN HOOK UP TO THE O.B.D. COMPUTER PLUG UNDER THE DASH AND THEY CAN TURN ON THE INPUT. (+ Half hour shop labor?) It might be cheaper to get a better sounding new head unit with the inputs built in.

As far as I know all truck radios had the AUX connection whether a remote unit was installed or not. It only takes a few minutes to pull the unit out of the dash and check if you need to know. The plug and play adapters work well and sound as good as the factory system allows.

I have looked at other options(as you said another HU) too.
I have a Phoenix Gold amp(discontinued)that allows for up to 35watts non pre amp in put via speaker wires and 2 plugs (this was to tide me over until I could afford the HU I REALLY wanted and 3 amp set up)
With the cost involved in plugs, adapters, possible reprogramming etc. (and "if" I can use the post amp ins. I read on a couple of places this feature is junk and pre amp and interconnect cables should be used)
I could probably get an inexpensive 1-1 1/2 din(new or used)that would have at least 2 pre outs and a 2.5mm in jack for my Zune. Run my PG Gold and save for the rest of the overall system.

I put a Parrot MKi 9200 Bluetooth setup in my '00 which includes inputs for line in, ipod/iphone, USB or an SD card.

are we talking about rca inputs on the back of the factory head unit or the black connector on the lower right on the back of the head unit

I think Zoomer was talking about the unconnected plug-in on the back of the radio. There is one on mine anyways. But those adapters aren't cheap. There was a write up somewhere, on how someone did the i pod connection themselves without the adapter, but i lost track of the address.

Are these Plug and Play? I have an '05 with CD and Tape. I don't have a button that says AUX on it. Does that make a difference? Thanks.
