How well does a gas turbo truck tow? Will it build more boost under a load like pulling up hill? Will the boost stay maxed out to longer it pulls? I guess lag would not be a concern while towing. Anyone tow with there gas turbo rig?

I can tell you my turbo car build boost uphill with constant pedal, and when over the hill, boost goes back down and fuel consumption return to normal. I don't lose speed when I hit a hill, the engine just makes more torque until im over the hill. You dont even need a cruise control and fuel mileage is good since youre not contantly reajusting the go pedal.

With a loaded truck, Im sure the same would happen unless your turbo is too big. The smaller the turbo you can go with the more this behavior will show.

I talked to a guy at the track that had a 03 chevy ECSB 2wd with a turbo'd 6.0 in it with a Z06 vette cam and a bunch of other **** that confused me., 3200 stall, 4l65E, He tows an LS1 camaro on a car trailer ever weekend. sometimes he'll unhook the trailer and go run high 12's...

If I was towing with a DIY turbo system I would keep a real close eye on EGTs and AFRs under load/boost.
