So who all makes a supercharger / pro charger / turbo kit for 96-98 vortec 5.7

how did u like the procharger? im rebuilding my bottom end on my motor after that is efans and either a turbo or charger

it was great, the boost started to come on about 2000 rpm then it started to pull hard. The kit fit great and the instructions were really detailed. Overall good experience with it.

ive been looking at alot or different fourms and people seem to like whipples more than anything else idk how them got a whipple for our style truck....but did u gett ht e intercooled procharger? if u did where does it go....like i dont get how that big ass thing is supose to fit...im either going with a duel turbo kit from sts but i gotta redo my hole exaust kit and my headers its gonna be a huge project....if i go with the charger it should flow enough for time being until i redo it in 3'inch pipe all way out....i have it on my mud truck and deff like it..

Whipple stop making a kit for the 96-99 Vortec years ago but you can find used ones on e-bay still. Yes i did get the intercooler they all come with one, it bolts under the core support at a slight angle right behind the air dam there is plenty of room for it. The ProCharger will flow all u need imo, boost is boost no matter how u get it 8lbs. is 8lbs. if you want moore boost you can get a smaller pulley for the s/c head unit. Also, I still have the ProCharger kit that came off my 99 Tahoe I took it off before I sold it. I was thinking of using it on my new 2010 Tahoe but it might be easier to sell it and buy a new one idk?
