like the title says i am thinking about adding some boost in the range of a super charger. it will be on a 02 5.3 and i was wondering what if anything i would have to change or beef up as far as the internal components would go. At first it would stay at the 8psi or what ever pulley it comes with but later on it might go up to the 10 to 15 mark. its either this or a turbo setup of some kind. thanks guys

You don't beed to beef anything up on the internals typically depending on the condition of your engine you can safely run 6-10 psi with the stock bottom end. Your bigger concern is going to be your tranny, the stock 60E will last for a while but if you romp on it a lot your going to blow that first.

Having your transmisison professionally rebuilt to handle the power. Call Finish Lines Transmission and tell them your goals and what would it take to have a trans hold up to that. Great customer service.

trans are easy to rebuild im just wondering about the internals of the motor handling the extra pressure but it has 160k on it so i will prob do a rebuild on it

You shouldn't have any problems unless you already have issues with your motor. If your running just 6-8 lbs of boost than you will be golden. If you want to run more than you want to start thinking about beefing up the engine. Otherwise you should see any negatives. I have had my blower on for 50k and haven't had a problem yet
