Friend of mine has an 03 Hyundai Sonata and the speedometer quit working. All of the other gauges work fine, with the exception of the odometer since the speedo's out. The cruise is not working either, so I'm led to believe that the speed sensor has gone bad. Where I'm getting thrown off is where this sensor is. From looking around on the net it appears that these cars use a different sensor from what the transmission uses for shift control, which would explain why it still drives and shifts OK. Anyone have any experience with these or can point me in the right direction? Any help is appreciated.
