no but i think you can do it, just might have to put a dent in it for the oil press sensor

why a 6.5 over a 5.3?? I could understand a 6.6 swap. I dont think its worth the trouble

What year is the damaged truck with the diesel in it? If it's an 05 it has the 6.6 lly duramax with the 5 speed allison 1000 transmission. It's going to destroy your 1/2ton.

Like suspension and a axels or frame?? The truck is an 05

All of the above. It's a very heavy motor/trans combo that your 1/2ton was never designed to hold. I'm not even sure if the Allison would fit under your truck, maybe with a 3" body lift. Also the 1/2ton axles won't be very happy trying to take the power and torque from it stock and if you turn up the power in it your really asking for trouble. Your truck has a 8.6" 10 bolt, the Duramax HD's came with a 11.25" Ring Gear. If you compared your rear axle to the one in the dmax truck it will look to be about 3x the size, there's a reason for that.

The plan was to swap over everything as the frame is bent on the hd and my truck is clean. It has a 3inch body lift andwould use hd suspension for a bit of a suspension lift. Just an idea I'm toying with doing have always wanted a duramax but simply can't sell myne for the same price and don't mind doing the work myself for a fully loaded duramax

I'm not familiar with the newer trucks, but I wouldn't think it would be that big a deal if you've already got a full parts truck. People have swapped the Duramax into Impalas. You might have some hood clearance problems, and maybe the transmission, too if you use the Allison. I think the cabs are the same between the light duty trucks and the HD's, correct?

I'd swap a 10.5" axle in the back......... I don't see the 11.5" axle as being substantially better over the 10.5", but heavier and bulkier.

Edit: I say all this assuming you've got a 2wd. If you've got a 4x4, I wouldn't bother, as I doubt you'll be able make the frame and front suspension/drive-line heavy duty enough to take the diesel and offroad situations.

It's A 4x4 I just need more power and the gas isn't cutting it and I can get this truck cheap as cheap
