My current exhaust setup is as follows stock headers, to a brand new Y pipe, to a 3 inch thunderbolt hi flo cat then to a 2 1/4 thrush fully welded muffler 45 out before back tire. single pipe no duals becuz of the transfer case and gastank not making it worth it.

The question... if i cut the pipe then welded a tip onto it will it make a difference? The tip would only beable to be 6 or 8 inches long maybe.... would it make more tone, deepness, or noise?

It wont make much difference unless you put at least a 16" tip on it. Cant you just cut the pipe, and have the tip coming out from under the truck?? An 18" tip or maybe a little longer would be optimal.
and yes it would be deeper with more tone

the problem with that is the pipe bends downward then bent upward so the exit is pointed straight out... if i cut it then put a 18in tip on then it will probably be directed at the ground. i guess its not worth doing.
