id say no to that

and have few questions first

are you going to replace just the muffler?

what kind of budget do you have?

and you dont really need SS since you are in LA

id say just have the exhaust replaced from the muffler back with a new tip in the stock location

that can be done for under 200
and SS = stainless steel

well I think that a thrush welded, magnaflow, dynomax muffler would suit you well

that muffler seems a bit priecy at over 100 dollars. you can find similar ones for closer to 40. go on youtube and look around and see what exhaust note you like and then look at some of those mufflers

the problem is, every ones youtube videos have the muffler that im looking at, BUT they also have 1981981 different mods on their exhaust, so i will never know what just a new muffler and tip would sound like. and a 40 doller muffler? link please!

dont want it too loud.. just deep and tough sounding, if you know what i mean. i dont want to piss the parents off, but i do want to get a few looks and another question, do you see a performanc increase with a muffler and tip? and what about getting it put on? whats labor prices like?

yes you should feel a difference with a new muffler the tip is for looks and will just make it sound even deeper whatever you decide
and i would say they would charge about an hr labor to put it on and if they sell tips see what they say about that because my shop told me if I bought the tip from them they would charge melabor to put it on
just a thought

no If I brought in my own tip they would charge me to install it but if I bought one from them they wouldnt charge me labor

and if I pay in cash they dont charge me Uncle Sam's cut

ask them if they can do that for ya too to save on tax

I think the stock piping is 2.75"

and the shop can use reducers either way but IMO id go SI/SO 3"

I got a Magnaflow for my Suburban, had it put in the stock pipes and didn't use a tip. Is it loud? Not really, I can hear it riding with the windows down or up, has some drone but not as deep of a rumble like my Sierra. The piping I think is too small for a deep rumble, but the 3" on my Sierra makes a nice deep tone, and the 3.5" tips really helped too, my Suburban has no tip so it doesn't have near as much rumble, but that'll change eventually. Even after the muffler broke in I don't think it's loud enough for me, so if you want to be noticed I suggest a shorter muffler like 14" case because the stock cats make it pretty quiet. My Sierra has a Thunderbolt highflow and it makes it a lot louder.
