There's a thread in here somewhere's for the compass mirror. I do recall it needing some sort of sensor but it's been awhile since reading about that mod. I do know it's nothing too complicated to install.

**Not a rear AC Panel**
Dash HVAC panel is for 1995 Chevy or GMC Pickup's w/ AC. The panel is the newer panel with the adapter harness.
1995 was the oddball year that has the expensive panel that won't plug & play with other years.

The panel is used and a **not a rear ac panel**. It works fine and I know this for fact because I wasted darn near $200 buying a new HVAC for my truck just to find out I have some burned wires in my dash. If it was toasted or junk I wouldn't be selling it.

It does have the adapter harness on it so it should work just fine with 96-newer HVAC Panels as long as they don't have the rear AC option.
