I'm pondering which route to go for my '85 K10 - recovering (and foam repair) on the original bench, or go with a total replacement. I would like the console, but need the 3-people option as we have a little one who rides with us, so I most likely will not go all the way to buckets/console.
Anyone know of a vehicle that has this 40/20/40 combo that I might locate at the auto yards? Other suggestions are also welcomed.

I think those are in some of the 88-94 obs's.

It reminds me of the bench seats in the 92-96 F150:

No idea if it would fit width-wise. You'd certainly have to drill new holes.
Dodge Rams came with the same setup as well:

EDIT: dirtyhick's got a point--C/K trucks had the bench (either 60/40 or non-split) with the fold-down console for 95-98. My old 98 regular cab had that setup and had the lap belt in the center. No cupholder on that dropdown console, though.

FWIW, you can find 40-20-40 seats in many NBS trucks where the center seat is a folding jump seat. They're simply 3 separate seats.
Since you mention a "little one", keep in mind that it is generally considered unsafe to install a child seat where the seat back does not lock in an upright position (i.e. folds freely vs a normal car seat that reclines and locks in position.) I don't think any of the child seats we've owned would fit in the 20% seat anyway.

I'm wondering about the 40-20-40 from the NBS, does anyone know if they even make a nbs with the dark red/maroon interior?

That seat is made by Flex-Steel and were used in many conversion vans, and also used in trucks by companies like choo-choo customs and others.

Gotta love FSC. Where else would you find such an accurate answer to that question?

Wow... that's some awesome information. Thanks to everyone for taking the time for specifics (links and everything). Firestorm, thanks also for the added info about the seats for "little ones". Hopefully, even as he grows big enough for his own seat he'll want to ride along with Dad, so I'm trying to plan for those good times. :) My current seat needs a cover and a little foam work. I would still consider that route, but am surprised the foam replacement is 300 bucks (+$200 for the cover). That's starting to reach the point of exploring upgraded options if staying stock isn't a must. I'll investigate my foam a little more and see if repair and replacement is an option too. Ultimately though... I like the option of the "bucket-ish" look/feel of the split seats (since I need to pass on literal buckets for now).
