alright, heres the deal: 93 wit a 5.7 im planning on building it this winter, and ive been thinking about giving it a little extra power. ive got a little bit of money saved up and i was wonderingwhat would be better, a superchager or a turbocharger.
i love superchargers and i think a turbo still belongs on a diesel or a ricer, but looking into it more it seems alot of people are going with a turbo on these trucks.

so you tell me whats better. haha thanks.

I would go turbo for sure, but that is just my opinion. If sized right, you will still have excellent bottom end, while still making huge power up top. I dont know how much money you have saved, but I know this is the rule of thumb for going Forced Induction.

Figure out how much you think it's going to cost to build what you want, then double it. Thats usually about what your final costs will be.

Turbo that bisch

I hate when people classify a turbo as ricer. A turbo is way more efficient that a supercharger. Why rob horsepower to make horsepower!

Just do your self a favor and build up your bottom end either way.

Hey.. All depending on what your really looken to do with the truck.. blowers make great power and are darn reliable. turbos make wicked power that really has no end. if you dont mind the second of spooling up off the line the turbo is gunna be your best bet on a truck your gunna drive heck with the turbo i bet you would pick up 3-4 mpg even there free power man and kits are pretty cheep. If your going with a big power adder like a blower or a turbo i would focus on your drive terrain. it sucks haven a truck that really rips and wont move after a couple thrashens due to broken transmissions or axles.
