6.5L turbo on a 4.8L

Can i use a turbo from a 6.5l turbo diesel (GM 3) on a 4.8l gas
to make 6 to7 lbs of boost? Is it to small ?
It's not a performance truck just everyday use.

i think it would be a good match as they are pretty small for the 6.5s anyway. fab it up and post pics
