Volant CAI for 88-98 5.7l

It prevents my truck from passing a smog check due to the lack of the header breather hook-up.

FYI that won't fit a 95-99 OBS with the vortec engine. I have one on my Vortec and its different.

Volant is the ****, why not install it after you pass emissions?

I'm too lazy to swap it on and off, plus to make it fit I have to relocate some electrical plug thing that is screwed down next to the throttle body.

looks like a tbi setup. is it the same part number for vortec years 96+ ?

No, the 96+ is a very different looking layout.

It doesn't have an inlet for the header hot air return, causing it to not pass Ca. smog.
