Holy **** piss batman!!! So OP whats the story behind your accident?
Well you see what happened was :aniteef:
I was out wheeling on Pelican Island some how there was a good bit of wire in the hole i was playing in. Didnt notice it was wrapped around my driver side front axle..I had just left the car wash and was taking a corner on the way home. The front left wheel locked up and sent me off the road by the time i could correct it I hit a patch of salt grass and rolled the truck 3 times side over side through a barbed wire fence. My wife was with me her seat belt didnt lock up and neither airbag deployed.I had to push the windshield out with my bare hands it had looked like i murdered somebody. My wifes arm was pinned under the passanger side door they had to cut her out and lift the truck with airbags to release her arm.She ended up with a broken back in 3 spots..Its was a bad day all around.I had just put the BL on my truck as well. I can say it held up in the rollover..:whyme:

You know, 93 octane fuel has a higher flash-point than 87. He would be in slightly less danger of explosion or fire with 93 octane in the tank.

These are from the epic "Canal Shortcut" night.
We're all coming back from somewhere out in BFE south florida when my buddy john tells us a shortcut so we don't have to go through his neighborhood which is full of speedbumps and the speed limits 10mph and theres a cop on every corner. So mike in the blue 7.3 decides to take the shortcut, plow through some guys bushes and ends up stuck in a canal.
http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r111/ibunkerfatkids/61150_463825627937_629747937_6619740_2437560_n.jpg
over the next 8 hours we call just about everyone we know with either a big ass truck or a diesel, ironically they were all fords which is probably why we spent 12 hours there. so about 9 am, the guy whos yard were in comes out and he trys to pull out the truck with his H1, but to no avail because the guy hooked up a chain and mashed the gas and buried his pos in a bunch of wet muddy grass. gets moving and drives into the canal too.
http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r111/ibunkerfatkids/59189_464092172937_629747937_6623758_2428416_n.jpg
then another ford comes and tries to pull out the h1, which doesn't work either.
http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r111/ibunkerfatkids/59189_464092177937_629747937_6623759_7738848_n.jpg
so around lunch time we finally get smart and call our buddy who has a full trac with a 572 big block in it, and we all got pulled out after about 13 hours.

I dont know if you have a building to put it in, but you should look in to a 2 post car lift. You can get a pretty nice one for 2k if you do your research. It would help you out a whole lot being able to lift the truck over your head. Im currently saving for one but my truck keeps stealing my money.
This is luckily the worst damage I have had, hit a small pole backing up. It was in a open field, so it was technically offroad.

That sucks, are you permanently paralyzed or is it nerve damage that will eventually heal? A guy I know had that happen to his sister, she was in a wheelchair over a year but eventually was able to walk again.

everyone does and there were digger trucks than mine out there and we backed a truck right up to my front bumper to pull me out. This happened on a Wednesday the following Saturday they put 8 trucks through and there 16 total for the season.
It's my fault i went through cause i didn't think it was safe anymore but the guys i was going with have been out there 40+ years and never put a truck through the ice and they said the lake was safe just to stay on the plowed roads and everyone was still out there

We're all coming back from somewhere out in BFE south florida when my buddy john tells us a shortcut so we don't have to go through his neighborhood which is full of speedbumps and the speed limits 10mph and theres a cop on every corner. So mike in the blue 7.3 decides to take the shortcut, plow through some guys bushes and ends up stuck in a canal.
http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r111/ibunkerfatkids/61150_463825627937_629747937_6619740_2437560_n.jpg
over the next 8 hours we call just about everyone we know with either a big ass truck or a diesel, ironically they were all fords which is probably why we spent 12 hours there. so about 9 am, the guy whos yard were in comes out and he trys to pull out the truck with his H1, but to no avail because the guy hooked up a chain and mashed the gas and buried his pos in a bunch of wet muddy grass. gets moving and drives into the canal too.
http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r111/ibunkerfatkids/59189_464092172937_629747937_6623758_2428416_n.jpg
then another ford comes and tries to pull out the h1, which doesn't work either.
http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r111/ibunkerfatkids/59189_464092177937_629747937_6623759_7738848_n.jpg
so around lunch time we finally get smart and call our buddy who has a full trac with a 572 big block in it, and we all got pulled out after about 13 hours.
http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r111/ibunkerfatkids/59373_464092577937_629747937_6623772_1458424_n.jpg
Wow, and my dad's whining and complaining when I haven't bothered to pull him out after 20 minutes.

Maybe, but this tool drowns an engine offroading a pretty new and modified truck, gets a new engine. Writes off nice truck with new engine, gets new modified duramax... 17 year old kids don't have this kind of money (as much as they will argue they do).
Daddy shoulda bought him workboots instead of a truck at all.

And I live in south Louisiana and working in attics in the heat of summer is miserable. And video games??? I own a super nintendo that has been in my attic since I was about ten. I was going slow and got the front wheels in and since I didn't want to break anything I went too slow and didn't have enough momentum to get out. Do you guys honestly think because we aren't 40 that we know nothing, pay for nothing, and dont work hard? I work construction, have since i quit my gas station job at 17. Anyone else do Sewer/Water line replacement/fixes? its tough work and im only twenty. Trucks bought and paid for with my own money. I agree that the kid with the duramax is a retard. But the opinions on us are kinda biased....
don't let people speaking in generalities get under your skin. if the criticism doesn’t apply let it roll off your back. there are plenty of us old guys that have exercised poor fiscal judgment (at least periodically). sounds like you're doing great. just keep in mind as your plate gets fuller you'll understand better what's behind some of these statements. with age typically comes more responsibilities/challenges (e.g. house payments & repairs, property taxes, property insurance, college tuition for the kids, aging parents, unexpected job loss outside your control, medical expenses, retirement, etc ...). taking care of yourself is a good thing. taking care of an entire family is even tougher (but definitely worth it). based on where you're at now i'm guessing that you'll plan ahead and prepare for these things the best you can.
personally my finances don't allow for repeatedly tearing up a very expensive vehicle (or vehicles) and i don't really have the urge to do so. i've got an old dirt bike for that lol.

as far as teenagers not paying for their own stuff, my dad pays insurance and 50% of gas but if i fvck anything up that doesnt normally go out its on me, and also i paid for my truck with cash from working summers and selling a POS s10 that he bought me
as far as anything else he has paid for, he paid for a shovel and a tow strap, and said don't call me if you get stuck.

Most teenagers have their parents buy their first vehicle. Some either want to buy their own, or dont have parents that will buy them a vehicle. We can see here that we have some members that fall in each of these categories.

Not to further de-rail this but as someone who is 21 and working for a living, I sadly have to agree with the older gents on here about the whole young and dumb thing. I have plenty of friends who either work for their parents (but pull the I pay for my own stuff bull****). Also know a ton of people in college who only work during the summer who say they know what real life is like. Being in college is only delaying real life, not living it. I went to college for a year, hated it for basically exactly the reason I said before. And to be honest most guys in college are kinda douche bags around here. Not everyone, but too many to be around all the time and not get pissed off.

Seriously!!
And if anyone thinks I'm spoiled, think again! I drive a dodge ram! If I was spoiled I would have a freaking brand spankin ass new Chevy! And I have had to lend money to my parents. So all you old people who think that all teenagers are lazy, get off us.
Haha this one made me 'LOL' a little. When I was a teenager I rode my bike to school and then to work everyday. My parents have always worked their asses off pulling up to 12 hours shifts, one working days and one working nights, for little to nothing just to get by. By the time I was 18 I was living with a roommate and walking everywhere I had to go, including work until I saved enough to buy a car.
money I get from working I put it all towards my phone bills, insurance, truck note, and the rest goes to my parents to help pay for my tuition so I can go to a good school and succeed in life and not be stuck putting down kids on a freaking forum.
I never had the financial opportunity or living situation that allowed me to go to college, so I guess I am stuck forum trolling forever since only the kids that aren't spoiled get help with school and a place to live while they attend.
I am not saying this to be an ass, but to give some insight. While you may not be 'spoiled' compared to someone driving a brand new crew cab silverado, you aren't exactly roughing it by being the poor baby stuck in a dodge. I would have killed to have anything with a motor back then, you should really learn to be humble and appreciate that dodge of yours. It's extremely wasteful to trash a brand new truck the way your friend did, spoiled or not it's still stupidity in my eyes. I am all for having fun in a bog, I grew up in Alabama after all, but he could have taken an early 90's model and had a bad ass bogger for a fraction of what was spent, and wasted, on this truck.
Had to add my 2 cents. As for ON TOPIC, the worst I have been in was when my friend thought he could hydroplane a pond in his '78 Ford F150(351ci) and we took off and hit the water at around 60mph. Made it maybe 20-30 feet, then basically paddled about 10 feet, then went down like the titanic. We were standing on the roof of the truck and still about ankle deep in water waiting for a friend to get his wench unjammed. Will call him up and see if I can't get the photos later. Amazingly the truck ran fine the next day after an oil and fuel change, smelled like mildew for the rest of it's lifetime however.

can the teanager old people crap shoot stop... so what you got a nice truck be happy f*&@ what evry one else thinks now can we actualy show some mess up pics please....
well it wasn't in a truck but it was off-road so here goes...last Christmas we were at my uncle's house driving around in their golf cart down a utility easement. My 14 yr old cousin was driving, I was riding shotgun, and my brother was sitting on the back bench seat. We had to stay off to one side because of some big ruts from a truck that had gone through there but we were still going as fast as that little electric cart would go...all of the sudden a little ditch, maybe 1ft wide by 1ft deep came out of nowhere and stopped us cold. My cousin got stopped by the steering wheel, I hit the windshield, pushed it out and flew out the front. My brother bounced up, hit the roof with his back and landed on the metal armrest. After we realized what happened and made sure no one was seriously injured we pushed the golf cart up and checked the damage...the front wheels were pointed directly out to each side, tie rod end snapped, ball joint broke, and front frame component was twisted as fvck. Had to walk about 2 miles back to their house and think of how to tell my uncle. Luckily the parts weren't too expensive or hard to replace and they got it fixed now. I dont have pics but my brother has some on his phone i'll try to get them from him
Looking back it was scary and we were lucky we didn't get hurt but it was funny as hell:crazy:

Not an age limit. A maturity limit. There's a guy here in town that's parents own a big bar and he has a new vehicle literally every month. He got a brand new 2009 chevy truck and less than 6 hours after it rolled off the lot it was stuck in a field with a busted tranny. He called 2 people. 1. A tow truck to take it back to the dealer and 2. His dad to bring his challenger over to pick him up.
Yes he's got a crap ton of money bc of his parents but am I jealous? No. Bc I take care of my 21 year old truck like it's my baby and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've done my fair share of work and had some lucky breaks. Early this year I made over 7 grand bc I took the time to research something I was interested in and it helped me turn a $400 investment into $7,500 in 3 days. I did it on my own and neither of my parents believed I knew what I was talking about. And as far as "young people are dumb" I guess I count as young being that I'm 19. Does it make me dumb that I invested half of that money and within a month made $2,500 of it into $5,000. Am I dumb that I gave both my parents $1,000 as a small token of my appreciation of always making sure I had clothes on my back and food to eat?
To say "all young people are idiots" just pisses me off. My dad runs his own business where he works 5 am to 8 pm 6 days a week and works on Sunday's quite often And is still barely getting by at times and my mom puts in 9-9 every day for a clothing company (she is a single parent with 2 kids in college) I don't mind the lifestyle they've given me but I'm smart and Im smart enough to use it to my advantage and put myself through college and engineering school so I can provide for my future children and future wife and also so I can live the lifestyle I want. Since I was 8 I did chores around the house and got $30 a week allowance for it and $20 of it every week went to a savings account and then when I got a job most of my money went into the account too. Then in high school I tried hard and made a 30 on the act which paid my full 4 years of college and actually have enough scholarships that I get a check every 6 months from the school for my left over money. Now I don't even need the money from the savings account.
I put in 35 hours a week while also going to college full time so neither of my parents have to worry about me for anything. I've supported myself with everything except a place to live for the past 3 years since I was able to drive. And before I could drive I walked to the local soccer fields on Monday's Tuesday's and Thursday's to referee soccer games for extra spending money.
Now tell me how dumb I am since I'm only 19 years old. End of rant.

At an attempt to be back on topic.
About a week before the Wisconsin 2011 gun deer season my fire department got called out to a swamp that was on fire. When we showed up the swamp was burning a good ways off the road so we right away called some neighboring departments to bring out there tracked equipment so we could get back to the fire, Well we ended up Getting them both stuck trying to pull the one out. Lucky this was after we had the fire pretty much out.
What we had

Those two were driving around fine as long as the didn't drive over the same sport a third time. The four tracked on got suck driving over the same spot to many times and snapped its winch cable trying to get out. Then the other one tried backing up to them and got stuck.

well, i'm glad that we are finally back on topic here, so now i am gunna rant on about how i'm not spoiled......nah...i'm mature. lets see some mess ups. I wish i had some of the better pics on my computer, but here is some from a couple weeks ago. Our local ORV park has a section of puddles that are known as the death puddles in my group. We know of over 20 rigs that have been demolished due to the puddles...they are dangerous. anyhow. My buddy decided to take his beater jeep through one while we were out geo-caching. its Just a Cherokee with a 2 or 3" suspension and 33s. no surprise we didn't make it to far before we high centered in the ruts...

we were waiting a while for our buddy to show up to pull us out...so he went fishing...

and the muddy water coming out of the jeep after he opened the door, the door had already been open for a minute by the time i got the camera out to snap a pic...
