As the tile says I considering a Turbo Kit for towing ......my DD dont want a street racer but need more low end torque for Towing .....reliable low boost as when I tow my enclosed car trailer typicaly 1000 miles one way drive 10-18 hours non stop
2010 Silverado CCSB LTZ 5.3 6 spd auto 3.42
Appreciate recomendations of kit supplier .......I will install and use Blackbear Auto Cal to tune just need a well engineered kit that fits my needs
Looking at STS rear mount also KB Racing is name that keeps coming up

I know the old rule of thumb used to be that towing, turbos, and gas engines don't mix.
Maybe the controls are better these days to protect the engine?

Yes I agree my perception too ......but it seems these ECM controlled engines with a good tune and intercooller a well engineered turbo kit can manage the long haul tow ............... and Yes KB Racing comes recomended alot .........actually have made contact with him already ............... be nice if someone with a turbo that tows 7000lbs plus for long hours would drop in withtheir comments .......... find alot of guys who tow a few hours with a turbo and a baot but no guys with any real weight

What's the advantage of a turbo over supercharger? Seems like supercharging would be better for towing, zero lag.

Turbo respond very well to load. The more load placed on the engine the harder it works.
