how well would a eaton m90 do on a tbi 350 that i've converted to carb? i know they were originally on v6's, but just playing with some project ideas and this one one of them.

What is the max psi you can get out of them on the v6's?

I have been in the GTP world for a number of years and you can easily get 10 lbs from an M90 on the 3800. The 'big guys' run somewhere around 12-15 I believe with a 2.5" pulley and over-driving the heck out of it.

I am not 100% sure, but I think the Magnacharger on my L31 5.7L is an M90. I think the kit was designed to run 5 to 6 PSI in the original setup.

have had this same thought for my tbi 350. m90s are cheap and plentiful. the gen 5 m90 is what roush uses on new 4.6 mustangs to push it to 430hp. if we only get 5-6 lbs of boost, that is still a gain for cheap

bump from the past, anyone with pics of a Eaton M90 Supercharger installed on a 88-95 tbi Chevy?

the eaton m90 is usually said to be inefficient on anything bigger then a 5.0. I have considered this but for the amount you will need to invest to make decent boost out of it you could do a budget turbo build. also on the m90 anything smaller than a 2.8 pulley you will need to have the snout turned down to make it fit. Food for thought the lightnings are a 5.4 liter and they run the m112 blowers. If I were to do it I would say you would have to prolly run twin m90s to make the psi even remotely close to efficient then you have to factor that at least on the 3.8 motors the chargers need 40 hp to spin them so think about that. if you want pics of an m90 or anything like that get ahold of me I have a few in various stages of assembly.
