Glad she's ok.

Must have been a harder hit than the visual damage lets on, to have deployed the air bag.

i think it hit just right to trigger the sensor cuz she didnt even break her glasses on the airbag so she must have not been getting thrown forward or the liberty is a tank my hope its the latter

Glad shes ok.

I had an 02 Liberty 4x4 3.7L. It was a little tank. Bag gas mileage in mine, but I wore that little truck out. Best I remember it was the only compact SUV with 5 star safety rating. I sold it to a girl who was just turning 16. She loved it too. But about 2 months after I sold it, she was t-boned. She was just a little bruised up but the Liberty was totaled.

Yours is a lot nicer than mine. Nice purchase.

Check out jeepkj.com. The members over there are very nice and really helpful.

I know there wasnt a lot of mods for mine to help with gas, but the aftermarket has responded much better to the newer models. Best I remember there isnt a lot you can do with the gears, but I'm sure you can have a tune done. I didnt do much to mine, but I liked the little 3.7L. It is plenty strong for the KJ and KK. I pulled my 400lb motorcycle on a 600lb. trailer for about 560 miles and didnt have a bit of trouble uphills or accelerating from a stop.

Good luck with your KK and keep us posted about the mods and mpg's.

A friend of mine has one. It has been a great vehicle for him. The only negative I have on it is that it is a butt crusher on long trips.

You guys will like the Liberty I had an 05 with the 3.7.... The best I ever got was 23mpg but that really isn't bad because the Liberty is so much better then any of the other small suv's out there and they have done well on their safety ratings. The longest trips I ever took was from phx to vegas which is about 4hrs and it was a bad ride.

p.s. glad to hear your wife was okay

It looks good... how are y'all liking it so far? I am not sure what kind of custom tunes are out for those now it was pretty limited when I owned mine but I am sure you could find something to get a little more power and mileage out of.

she loves it were looking into tunes but just started, it prolly would be worth it but the cash up front is the hard part when your trying to save
