truck has th400,want to go back to 700r4

i have a 88 c1500 with a bad 400. truck has the md8 rpo for a 700r4,since it had a 700r4 do i have to worry about tcc kits etc? or is it a simple pull 400 out,drop 700r4 in,hook up tv cable,speedo wire etc and go? i was not the one who did the 400 swap to begin with. other then the driveshaft and moving up the xmember..is that it?

you also need a lockup torque converter for the 700r4 you choose (there are 2 different versions, you want the 88-93 700r4 if you have a choice). The 3 TCC lockup wires should still be on your wire harness if it came with 700r4 stock.

the 3 tcc wires....any idea on wire colors,would it be any wires running from the computer to the back left side of the tranny for the kickdown and speedo wires?

I'll look tomorrow. It's a square 4 wire plug, and the 3 wires join the main wire harness near the o2 sensor wire (purple)
