I have heard of guys running dryer vent hose or something similar from the holes in the rad support(punch outs on either side of the rad) to holes they cut in the factory air cleaner, and if you have room, one guy modified his air cleaner by cutting/welding two factory ones together and using two filters stacked on top of each other. There was lots of info on this in the "Diesel Place" forum(sorry for advertising another forum, but they are very knowledgable and willing to help when it comes to chevy diesels!). Either way, from the research I have done, you will have to fab something up yourself for this, as it doesn't sound like there are any aftermarket kits for the old diesels.

At one time Banks made an air intake, and I've seen pictures of another system that was some type of aftermarket (guy found a truck in a junkyard and it had decals on the outside) but never seen this advertised. The aftermarket was always slim for the engine, and basically non-existent now because it hasn't been in production for going on 15 years and is not very popular.
