i am switcing out my split bench out of a 98 ecsb and putting in buckets from a 95 single cab mt question is the two bolts on the drivers side should the holes and nuts already be there to bolt to just slit the carpet and bolt in

You'll most likely end up needing to drill a couple of holes for each seat, then bolt/nut them. Be sure to back up the nuts with large, thick washers so the bolts don't pull through the floor and ruin it. If you're working alone a good trick is to lock vise grips to the head of the bolt, they will swivel around and shove against the seat bracket while you tighten the nut from underneath.

Do note that with reg cab buckets in your ext cab, you won't be able to get in/out the back nearly as easily. Not that it was easy in the first place... :D Though I'm guessing your '98 is third-door.

thanks for the answers yea it is a third door what size bolts should i buy and how long im thinking 5/16 but dont know how long

Same size/length as the ones already holding your seats down, and about the same length. Be sure to use flat washers on both sides and a lock washer.

The factory bolts are metric, just pop one out and take it to the hardware store. Doesn't matter if you go metric or standard since you're not using any factory hardware, but it'll save you a tiny bit of hassle later if you pop the seats out again, all the fasteners will use the same size tool.
