yes, I have heard of them. Westers Garage sells them. There are guys that are fueling 420 hp on the stock spiders. Lyndon Wester told me he had a set of his Blackwidow spiders in a Procharged centrifugal supercharged application and had to pull out fuel.
Supercharged power takes more fuel than naturally aspirated does.

go to westersgarage.com then price list, --then scroll down to performance fuel injectors,-- then look near the bottom of the page at stock and black widow injectors for 5.0 and 5.7

How much hp can the factory fuel injection unit handle? Not the poppet style...the mpfi style. I am building a performance build 383 stroker for my van , more for added tq but for the added hp also.

Just curious, how exactly does Westers get more fuel out of those Black Widow injectors than the stock poppets?

Looks like almost any fuel injector will fit on the end of the tubes (just by looking at the pics) and if that is the case then upgrading them should be easy. I am waiting for the Delphi unit to arrive. When it does I will check it out.

i found an old school racing shop in my town that found some fittings to go down into the spider. they look like the ends of the stock fuel line but straight with male AN threads on the ends. sorry, i dont have part #,s but you should be able to find some. then i had the shop cut the schrader valve off the stock fuel line and silver solder it into the fuel feed fitting that goes into the spider so i could still check fuel pressure. then i bought some 120 degree fittings from russell (can find them in summit). they are female threads on one end and barbed nipple on the other(you just push the hose on, no hose clamp required). next he cut the stock fuel lines off the part that has the bracket that attaches to your intake man. and silver soldered on some adapters with male AN threads on one side of the bracket and the stock female o-ring fittings on the other side. this allowed me to use the stock fuel lines coming up the chassis of the truck. next i just built a bracket connecting the adapter part of the fuel line to the intake manifold just like stock but taller to clear the V-Max. then i put female AN/ barbed nipple adapters on the piece that has the stock female o-ring fittings and ran flex hose in between them and the ones coming out of the spider. well then my big vortec silencer deal that sits on the TB wouldnt clear th 120 degree fittings so i took a heat gun and dented it in a little, sanded it and painted it. sorry i dont have pics but you couldnt really see it on the truck anyway. my advice is to find a racing shop near you that has expierience in plumbing race cars and stuff. i had about 100/120 dollars in this setup including labor but i coudnt find another way to do it that wasnt cheesy. im pretty picky. adding the V-Max to my new 383 was expensive and an exteme bitch. it seems to run pretty damn good but still not sure wether it was worth the money and hassle. never ran it without the v-max and mpfi upgrade. sorry about the long post but i hope this helps you come up with some ideas!
