hey guys im new here. iv done some search, but cant find any one with my problem. my truck is a 96 c1500 silverado multiport. i pulled the manifold yesterday to replace one of the injectors that was casing a cyl #5 missfire. went ahead and swapped out the bad injector. i put all new gaskets and put everything back together. fired up the truck and ran it all day yeaster day. truck runs alot smoother, but i come to see that im having a fuel leak at the fuel lines that go into the intake manifold, wat can i do to correct this any help will be apreciated. cant waist much more money.

thanks in advanced

There is a "round-ish" metal washer that helps hold down those hard lines into the intake. You can put it in backwards and not have it seal just right. It can be a real PITA even when you have it in right. I have found the easiest way to get it to seal is to disconnect the hard lines from the back of the motor so they are more easily moved around. Then tighten down the lines into the intake, then reconnect the lines to the motor.

I'm not sure, it's been a while. If it was in totally wrong it would probably spray, not leak. Let me ask you a question......did you lube the lines/o-rings before pressing the lines in? If not you could have a ripped/out of place o-ring.

yea. i didn't use any special lube just a tap of mortor oil. i got it tho it was that the little hold down was bawards. damm thos line are a mission to put back in by your self.

thanks for the input...

no more leak!

the truck starts kinda tired tho, dont know why. i have to wiat till the fuel pump to stop and then hit the ign. if not it wont start

i have done the: plugs, wires, oil, cleand out the throttle body and nothing i have big muffler leak right before the two mufflers

Sounds like a bad Fuel pressure regualtor or even a weak fuel pump.

You only have to take the upper manifold off, and you should be able to use the O-ring type gaskets over again being you were just in there.
