Nice Richard! Where did u get ur grey deck kit?

Thanks, I always get my kits from American International - AMI. http://www.aius.net/ Best ones out there, and one of the few kits that are "deep" enough that the longer HU's fit without jamming into the A/C ductwork behind them. They do still often require a tiny bit of clearancing on the holes for the vent swivel point but I've done it just by twisting a drill bit in them with my fingers.
The part # is GMK-333 for the dash kit, and GMP-333 for the nice radio delete pocket with the lip on it. Sometimes takes some creative searching on eBay to find them - try with and without the dash, etc. and you'll dig them up. Sometimes sellers offer them as a kit - HU kit, storage pocket, harness adapter, and antenna adapter all in one whack.
Try this search; it pulls up a ton of them at the moment: http://desc.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=gmk333&_sacat=0&_odkw=gmk333&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313&LH_TitleDesc=1&_rdc=1
Just be sure to ask the seller if it's a genuine American International kit, I see some of those auctions just have "gmk333 gmp333" as tiny little keywords in the description.

Why not ask the guy that the truck belongs to. Me. That's the hazard flasher button, why, does your truck not have one? :D

Hey Someotherguy, that is what I was trying to do....apparently I failed. doh. Thanks for the reply tho. Yes, mine has one but apparently not working as I was unable to do anything with it.
Also I love the way you have placed the gauges, I have a blank out box coming too. I may consider copying your idea. ;)
someotherguy
02-27-2011, 06:12 PM
Not my idea but you're welcome to copy it :D I've seen it done numerous times but not quite exactly how I did mine. I like them recessed into the back of the pocket and pushed "up" a little bit so there's still room for things to go in the pocket, like the stereo remote you see in there.
The hazard button on the 1994 and older columns is operated by pushing the center piece inward, if you note, that outer collar goes around a center button. When you push it in, the hazards activate. Pulling outward on the collar releases the button/turns the hazards off.

The one I have in the basement fits right along with the A-pillar and its an Autometer piece. Of course I really need to get mine in still.
