more specifically a 97 EZ Go gas powered golf cart. I am not sure of the problem but this what I do know so far...
Engine will cylce but no fuel will flow through the filter canister when all lines are connected properly. If you disconnect the fuel line leading to the carb at either end the fuel pump will work properly and shoot fuel out of the pump or it will flow correctly at the carb when no connected. all lines and filter seem to be clean and clog free. With everything connected the motor will "idle/cycle" very slowly but if you pull the spark plug out the cycling speed will increase dramatically and sound like it should. Reinsert the spark plug and the motor immediately slows down. Spark is in working order and properly gapped as well.
Fuel did sit for awhile but stabilizer was added and new gas has been mixed in with it. Would run intermittently up until about a week ago but now will not move. Carb and fuel pump have been pulled off and cleaned but it did not make much of a difference. When the motor cycles you get a weird smell from the air intake, can't really compare it to anything...it just stinks.
Any golf cart owners out there. Thanks,
