Hi guys, im currently am daily driving a 1996 F150, 302, 5-speed.

Engine is Stock, other then exhasut, But i have some problems

1. Engine takes awhile to start, have to sit there and crank it over for awhile, starts faster with foot to the floor. has never NOT started and the smell of fuel is strong

2. Gets VERY bad MPG, like 10MPG, I dont understand why.

Engine has had the following replaced within the last 15,000KM

Fuel Pump
Idle Air Control Motor
EGR Valve
Fuel Press Regulator
All o2 Sensors
Fuel Filter
Plugs
Cap/Rotor

Once it has started the truck drives great, no sputtering and very strong through whole RPM band.

Thoughts?

I don't know fords that well, but have you looked at the injectors? They could be getting cloged

Fords are easy to troubleshoot. The designers circled the problem and highlighted it in blue.

Sounds like inadequate fuel pressure at start up.

#1 injector was leaking, sold the truck for $3000 a couple weeks back, Paid $525 for it.
