I wanna meet the first person who decided to try pledge on their vehicle.
Eagle one makes an awesome polish that's real good for a quick clean up. It has enough grit to remove small amounts of tar.

its oily isnt it? doesnt leave a film? for everyday cleaning glass cleaner is the best. a foam spray can and microfiber cloth. for true detailing or a truck show break out the chrome polish.

Nevr-Dull has been around for a long time. I didn't know Eagle1 had bought them out. I think it's the same stuff called magic cotton used by the Navy during most of the last century. I don't know if they still use it.
Great stuff. It will eventually polish galvanized. (Don't ask how I know that.)

I use Meguiars polish. Easy on, easy off with an amazing finish. If I used glass cleaner (and I have) I use nothing but newspaper. Newspaper works better than any cloth. 0% streaking.
Back in the day, I was told to use Pledge on my window tint from the guys who installed it and it worked great! I don't use the aerosol but the liquid version.

I use coke and tin foil, if I don't have anything else

When the guy did my Jeep he told me glass cleaner was bad for the tint, I've not tried liquid pledge.

A ball of tin foil is great for the bbq-grill and coke is great for oil stains on the driveway.

Window cleaner with ammonia will fvck up tinted windows, as long as its ammonia free (pretty common) your fine.

I always go with ammonia-free glass cleaner and then use a chrome polish for additional shine and protection. Just curious to the advantage of using pledge?

I've got steel chrome rims and constantly having to use steel wool to remove rust and then use turtlewax chrome polish. How do I keep the rust from coming back

Try using a paste carnauba wax. It will do the same thing it does on your paint. The brake dust "rust" will not stick as easily, and will be easier to remove. Remember to wax after using steel wool each time.

Best thing I've used it Mean Green diluted a little bit. Takes off all the gunk and brake dust. Buy some nice ceramic brake pads to prevent brake dust.

I never get the brake dust just rust
