OBD2 port question.

I was wondering if you guys shut down the OBD2 ports?

I have an old hypertech tuner that I use to pull engine codes and I could not get it to tune after getting my computer back. A friend of mine also has a thing for his phone that plugs into the OBD2 and tells you 0-60, HP, blah blah blah, it also would not turn on or read.

No, we do not shut down the port. I am willing to bet your cigarette lighter fuse is blown.

I know my cigarette lighter fuse is blown the guy I bought my truck put to big of a fuse in it's place for a quick road side fix to keep hi GPS alive, and needless to say I now have cooked wires leading to my cigarette lighter ports.
