I've got a 2000 Silverado 5.3L and I've added a few mods for performance, but I still have the top speed limiter and everything so I want to remove it. I know that getting a programmer you can remove or raise that BUT I can also add power, but I don't know what programmer to buy of the many choices (diablosport, hypertech, superchips, etc..) what are some opinions on programmers? Or what do people recommend?

No programmer. Get a custom tune. Much better and about half the cost.

the only response you are going to get is get a custom tune. blackbear, nelson, wheatly, etc etc do a search you will find thousands of threads with your very same question.
that pretty much sums up the responses you are going to get. some people will be opinionated on which custom tune is best, but in the end you have to decide.

mail order :read:
the 2 best seem to be:
www.blackbearperformance.com (they are a preferred vendor on the site and well liked if you search) or....
Charlie Wheatley (I am not sure how he operates, not sure if he does mail order, but he also is highly recommended)

How does this work on a mail order basis? Do you swap out the computer?

If you don't want to spend the time to learn to tune yourself then take the advice of others here.
But if you do want to tune yourself, forever then the Jet Dynamic Spectrum tuner will do everything that a mail order chip/tune/program will give you for about the same money. But your left over with the equiptment to tune your car again and again and again...

yes, or you can keep yours for a core charge and get another tuned one that's either tuned generically for your engines manufacturers specs, or you can hook up a cable and record what it does and get the tune based on that, lots of options
