03 duramax waterpump

Need to change the water pump on an 03 Duramax,manual says I need to remove the harmonic balancer,doesn't look like it is in the way,any experience with these?

yes they are a pain in the but there are one or two bolts you cant get to with it on. did on a couple of weeks ago

Torque on balencer bolt is 264 ft lbs. just FYI.
