General Questions

I have a 94 stepside that needs to be painted. The one stepside's paint is chipping away so the fiberglass is showing. Do I need to re-fiberglass before I paint or just sand it down primer and paint? Will post picture soon. Also the truck has a aftermarket hood scoop that I want to mold so it looks good. Should I fiberglass or bondo? I just got a different grille and want to paint it black. Do I need a adhesion promoter or just sand and paint? What paint should I use for this? I figured on using paint for plastic, has anyone just used automotive paint and it still looked good? Also I want to paint the interior of my truck, what should I use for the inside plastic and carpeting? I know its alot of questions but I'm new to painting and want my truck not to look like crap when I'm done. Thanks in advance and will post pictures here shorty.

Not worried about painting the floor carpet or seats. I'll replace those if I can find some black seats.
