noticed other day driverside cab corner was starting to get a little rust around my trim and this is the only rust spot on the whole truck unbelievably. im wanting to get this fixed but not sure whats best way to go.

i dont think ill have to put in a new cab corner but im not sure and if so i can do this but once the rust is fixed would i be better off to get the corner painted to match the truck or would i be better off to bed liner the truck from the black trim piece down.

im kind of assuming the paint method would cost more with grinding bondo filling and time but i dont know how much liner i would need.

trucks in nice condition but not a show truck its used year round and is regularly ran in mud

any one ???
the basic question still remains the same
on a lifted work truck would i be better off to repaint with bed liner or actual paint

really the bed liner is going to show jsut as much as the paint will, it should be etch primed and sealed up against the elements. I wouldnt do the bedliner. You can blend the new paint and clearcoat into the old but you cant do that with bedliner. The bedliner would have to be done the whole way around. Just my opinion, I do body and paint on the side, and trust me you will be happier with paint than rough black bedliner on the side of your truck

what i mean is the bedliner will not hide rough welds and crappy body work, it will require the same amount of sanding and prep as paint. Might as well paint it. Looks better IMO
