Clay bar will work. Or you can try your favorite brands bug remover. I would try clay first and just wax afterword.

I use the Meguiars Gold Class Car wash and that gets mots of everything off. Then I wax with Meguiars Gold Class wax and that gets the rest off.

Clay is pretty easy. Just keep the area moist(very) and rub away. Apply some pressure, but don't try to reach through your metal. Some people rub way to hard. You can get a clay bar kit for about $20. I like Stoners but that's me. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/SNR0/91154.oap?pt=N0467&ppt=C0209 Everyone has their own favorites to use. Spray this on before you wash. Let it sit about 15-20 seconds and wash. Some bugs I have seen will "stain" your paint much like bird droppings.

I'd try dawn dish soap. This strips the wax as well so make sure you put some back on. I'd make sure to do a few coats too to make it easier to get the bugs off next time. If the soap doesn't work a polish should work. Just start light and work your way up in cut until the stains are gone.
