I'm kind of looking at selling my truck, as much as I don't want to, I'm going to be traveling 100 miles a day between work and need something better on gas. Looking to sell to a good home that will take just as good of care of this as I did.
1996 Chevy K1500 4x4 5.7L
-Rhinolined bed
-Tonneau Cover
-Tinted windows
-285/55/20's BFG All-Terrain K/O's on 20" Black KMC Wheels
-Herculiner on bottom of truck
-Complete professional rust-proofing on bottom of truck and wheel wells
-Blackbear 89 Octane tune
-Hooker Headers
-Cat-less Flowmaster True Dual Exhaust
-Volant Cold-Air Intake
It has practically a brand new transmission professionally built by a very good reputable builder with a 3 year warranty, was built with heavy duty everything because the last guy that built it messed it up. So once I brought it to this good tranny builder, he beefed everything up (hardened sunshell, Heavy duty Torque Converter, etc.). New tranny has about 2000 miles on it, and I have a trans temp gauge hooked up, never been above 180*, runs and shifts like a dream.
As far as the interior goes, it's flawless, no rips, never smoked in it, no damage. I have a Pioneer head unit, with full JL audio speakers with cross-overs for the tweeters which is all connected to a Jensen 600W amp.
Recently I had some problems diagnosing a Random/Multiple misfire, so I ended up replacing plugs, wires, o2 sensors, brand new billet aluminum distributor (old dist. gear was knifing on the edges, this was the culprit of the misfire). Had the timing set at a dealer, and she runs like a dream now. I didn't want to sell it with any problems so I also got the wheels aligned as well.
It has always been kept in a heated garage, changed oil with Mobil 1 Synthetic always every 5000 miles. I am VERY anal about this truck, if something isn't perfect, I will spend however much it takes to make it perfect and however much time is needed. It has been babied ever since I got her, I thought I was going to keep it forever, but with the price of gas I need to get something better on gas. I took it on a 500 mile trip a couple weeks ago and got 18mpg on the highway, but I want to buy a 4-banger that gets 35mpg's haha. I have invested $7,000 into this truck, bought it for $10,000 5 years ago (it was a southern truck, hence the rustproofing and no rust).
Mileage is 101XXX.
I'm asking $7000 O.B.O., I'm not too eager to sell it, so I will be pretty firm on the price. Even if your not interested in the truck, I have been wanting some feedback on the price, so any feedback is appreciated if not.
