Well, the warm weather is here in Michigan (kind of), the pesky bugs are now splattering all over the front of my truck. Any special tricks on bug removal?

someone told me that putting a beach towel over the bug splattered area and wetting it and putting your car soap to it will help soften them up, just wash the rest of the truck while the towel sits there and when you pull it off you should be golden...

I would use that in conjunction with the bug 'n tar remover, like spray it on and then put the towel down.

Bug & Tar does work well though, and if your thumbnail isn't sharp because you cut your nails with wire cutters like me :D you can run your nail over the really bad ones and get it off, don't overdo it though. That's what I had to do with the bad ones on the hood when I was claying my truck Monday.

Off topic: If you've never clayed your truck before... do it before the next time you wax.

Go to a car wash and spray off the bugs and bring it home to finish. Thats what i do. Works great

I use dryer sheets. Then spray it off and wash with your soap. Looks great!

Car wash soap and a bug sponge. I don't use any bug cleaners personally.

Dryer sheets ...Wet the dryer sheet then start rubbing they usually come off like butter then wash where you used the dryer sheet cause it will leave a residue .

I dont use turtle wax products much if any but they have a bug/tar remover that works real good. If you dont already have one, it may be good to invest in a bug shield.
